We make every effort to keep dental care affordable while maintaining the high level of quality to which we have dedicated ourselves. It should be noted that dental insurance is designed to defray SOME of the costs of dental care by paying only a portion or percentage of the bill. We coordinate traditional insurance with treatment, when possible, and help our patients maximize any insurance benefits they have. Our philosophy of treating you using only our professional judgment and experience is not compatible with the restrictive nature of managed care plans (HMOs). Accordingly, our office is not a contracted provider with HMO or DHMO plans.
Traditional benefit (“indemnity”) plans do not stipulate where you can go. You can see any dentist (including us!) and receive the full benefits of the
If your benefit plan is a PPO, you will still be able to use it in our office, however your benefits may be slightly less than if you went to a dentist on their restricted list of contracted providers. We are a contracted provider for Delta Dental Premier plan.
If your plan is an HMO / DMO, you will receive benefits only if you see a dentist on their very restrictive list of contracted providers. Naturally, it will be our pleasure to serve you; however, your HMO plan will not cover any of your costs at our office. HMO / DMO plans may cost you MORE than if you had no “insurance” at all. “Dental Insurance Secrets.”
Our commitment is to serve you rather than insurance companies. Ultimately, your insurance company is responsible to you. Unfortunately, we cannot make any guarantees or promises on behalf of your insurance company.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask at any time.
Types of payment
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MC, Discover and American Express. We do offer payment plan options and accept Care Credit. Our finance coordinator would be happy to discuss these options with you.
As a courtesy we will bill your insurance company for services rendered. You may be responsible for a deductible and a percentage of the treatment cost based on the procedure performed and your specific insurance plan. We require payment of your estimated portion the day treatment is rendered, unless prior financial arrangements have been made.
Not all services are a covered benefit in all insurance policies. We will do our best to determine this prior to treatment but ultimately you are responsible for payment in full.
Accounts not settled in 90 days are subject to a 1.5% per month interest charge on any unpaid balance. We realize circumstances may affect timely payments and encourage you to contact our office for assistance in management of your account.
Cancellation of Appointments
We would appreciate 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment if possible. Repetitive short notice cancellations or failure to show up for appointments are subject to charges. We have reserved time and staff to take care of your dental needs and would appreciate the courtesy to let us know if you will not be able to make your appointment.
